Why we publish the official figures
While verifying these requirements we found a disagreement worth flagging: at least one community wiki lists a 16 GB minimum and a GTX 1660, both higher than what NCSoft publishes. That kind of drift is usually an old pre-launch figure that never got corrected, and it matters because a player who reads the higher number on a wiki may conclude their machine cannot run the game.
We went with the official store page and cross-checked it against a second independent source that agreed with the official numbers rather than the wiki. Where community sources disagree with the publisher, we use the publisher — not because wikis are unreliable in general, but because the official page is the one the publisher will stand behind and update if requirements change after launch.
The practical read: a GTX 1050 Ti with 8 GB of RAM is genuinely enough to run AION 2, but it is a minimum, not a comfortable place to be. The recommendation gap between minimum and recommended on this page is wide — a GTX 1050 Ti to an RTX 2070 is two generations — and that gap is where most of the frame-rate difference lives.
System requirement questions
Can I play AION 2 on a laptop?
Yes, if the laptop has a dedicated GPU meeting the minimum spec. A GTX 1050 Ti is the floor, and laptops that ship with that class of card generally have the CPU to match. Integrated graphics are not listed as supported, so a machine with only Intel or AMD built-in graphics will not run it.
Is 8 GB of RAM really enough?
That is the published minimum, not a comfortable target. The recommended figure is 16 GB, and the difference matters most in open-world areas where many entities load at once. If you are running a browser alongside the game — which most players do — 8 GB will feel the squeeze.
Why do some wiki sites list higher requirements than this page?
Some community wikis list a 16 GB minimum and a GTX 1660, which is above what the official store page states. We went with the official figure because it is the publisher-published one, and we cross-checked it against a second independent source that agreed. Where a community wiki and the official page disagree, the official page is what players can actually rely on.
Does the storage requirement include the game only?
The 100 GB figure is the published available-space requirement. In practice you want headroom above that for patch downloads, logs and any recording or screenshot capture you keep alongside the game, since a patch on a full drive is a bad time to discover the problem.
Is there a Mac or Linux version?
The published system requirements list Windows 10/11 64-bit only, and the store page this data came from is a PC entry. A mobile version launched in Korea and Taiwan, but that is a separate product with its own requirements and is not confirmed for the global release.
Do the requirements change after launch?
They can. We publish the figures exactly as listed on the official store page as of October 3, 2026, and note the retrieval date so you can tell how current they are. If a patch raises the requirement, the official page changes and we update this one.
