Ranger Build

Direction only

Safe, consistent ranged damage from a bow with strong mobility and kiting — one of the most beginner-friendly picks.

Data source

No published Stigma setup on the wiki yet — direction only. Source: Fextralife AION 2 wiki, patch 1.0.21.0 (Sep 30 2026), retrieved Oct 3 2026. Skill values there are listed at Level 1 before specialisations, so the upgrade priorities below matter more than the raw numbers.

No published Stigma setup yet

The AION 2 wiki has not published a Stigma loadout for the Ranger as of Oct 3, 2026 — only playstyle direction. We will not invent four slots to fill the page. Check the class guide for positioning and playstyle detail in the meantime.

Stat & gear direction
PvE Focus

Consistent ranged damage plus trap and mobility uptime. Ranger sustains damage without needing to be in melee range.

PvP Focus

Keep distance. Rangers win by kiting melee and staying out of burst range, not by trading blows.

Stigma Focus

Sustained damage and mobility: kiting tools, ranged damage and repositioning.

Gear Focus

Damage and attack speed. Ranger benefits from sustained-damage scaling rather than one-shot burst.

Closed-beta focus group feedback

Ranger was one of the MOST favoured classes in closed-beta testing, with feedback pointing to its utility and broad player appeal as the likely reasons.

How to read this page

Why this page shows direction instead of numbers

A Stigma setup looks like a simple list of four items, which is exactly why it is easy to get wrong. Slots interact with each other and with skill levels, and the numbers on the wiki are listed at skill Level 1 before specialisations — so the raw figures are not the build. What actually matters is the order you upgrade things in, which is why every verified setup on this page leads with its upgrade priority.

No published Stigma setup on the wiki yet — direction only. That is also why the four focus boxes below cover every class while the slot grids do not: the priorities hold regardless of patch, but the exact slots move with balance changes and we would rather leave them empty than freeze a setup that quietly becomes wrong.

Ranger is rated S PvE, A PvP, A solo and Afor organized groups. If you are still deciding between roles, the class guide covers positioning and rotation in more detail than a build page does.

L2Published Stigma setups come from the AION 2 wiki, cross-checked against a second independent source at patch 1.0.21.0.L3The PvE / PvP / Stigma / gear focus directions are community consensus. Balance patches move them.
FAQ

Ranger build questions

Does Ranger have a build in AION 2?

No verified Ranger build is published yet. The wiki has not released a Stigma loadout for this class, so this page gives the direction instead — PvE focus, PvP focus, Stigma focus and gear focus — without inventing four slots to fill the layout.

What Stigma should Ranger prioritize?

Sustained damage and mobility: kiting tools, ranged damage and repositioning. The four slots themselves are only published where the wiki lists them, because a Stigma setup that is subtly wrong costs more time than an empty page.

What gear should Ranger prioritize?

Damage and attack speed. Ranger benefits from sustained-damage scaling rather than one-shot burst.

Does Ranger need a different build for PvP?

Yes. Keep distance. Rangers win by kiting melee and staying out of burst range, not by trading blows. Compare that against the PvE focus above — they often pull in opposite directions, which is why one build rarely covers both.

Is Ranger viable in organized groups?

Ranger is rated A for organized group content at global launch. The priorities on this page apply to both, even though the numeric loadouts are still pending. For how Ranger fits alongside other roles, check the group tier column on the tier list pages.
