Cleric leveling route

A four-stage route for getting Cleric from level 1 to group-ready. Stages are split by milestone rather than exact level numbers, because we do not publish level-by-level XP figures we cannot source — but everything below is the order that actually matters.

Levels 1-20 · Story path

Follow the Main Story Quest. It is the fastest XP route in the early game and it unlocks the regions and systems you need for everything after it. Do not stop to grind — over-leveling in the starting zone is slower than following the quest chain, because the quest rewards scale with your level while mob XP does not.

Levels 20-40 · Gear catches up

Healing and mana-related stats. Resist the urge to gear like a damage class. Upgrade your weapon the moment a better one drops rather than waiting for a full set. This is the stage where falling behind in weapon investment costs you the most, and it is much cheaper to fix now than at endgame.

Levels 40-50 · Rotation matters more than gear

Cleric keeps the party alive through intense encounters with direct healing, cleanses, and battle resurrection. Lower solo damage, but unmatched group value — you will never sit in a queue. At this point a clean rotation with average gear beats average rotation with perfect gear — wasted rotation time compounds across every fight, while gear only multiplies what you already do well.

Level 50+ · Start grouping

Organized dungeons and raids are where the real progression speed is, and Cleric holds S group tier at global launch. Groups actively want this role, so you can queue immediately rather than grinding alone.

L3The route order and gear priority are derived from this class's own verified playstyle and build focus. Level-specific XP values are not published because we have not verified them.
FAQ

AION 2 Cleric FAQ

Is Cleric a good class in AION 2?

Cleric holds A tier for PvE, A for PvP, C for solo play and S for organized groups at global launch. It is rated medium to play and is beginner-friendly. These are community-consensus ratings, not official NCSOFT figures.

What role does the Cleric play in AION 2?

Cleric is a main healer in the Healer archetype, using staff / mace. Support players who want to be recruited by every group and keep parties alive through hard content.

What are the Cleric's strengths and weaknesses?

Strengths: Best healing throughput; Battle resurrection; Every group wants one; High group value. Weaknesses: Slower solo farming; Healing pressure in hard content; Relies on group to deal damage. The weaknesses matter as much as the strengths — slower solo farming is the thing that decides whether this class fits how you play.

Is Cleric beginner-friendly in AION 2?

Yes. The easiest healer to start with thanks to straightforward healing mechanics. Pick it if you want to matter in every group you join.

Does Cleric have a published build or Stigma setup?

Yes — 3 verified Stigma setups for Cleric, with skill upgrade priorities and combat tips for each. They are based on AION 2 wiki data at patch 1.0.21.0.

Is Cleric better than other healer classes?

Cleric is rated A PvE / A PvP / C solo / S group. Compare that against the other healer classes on the tier list pages — the archetype tells you the role is the same, but the four tiers are what tell you which one plays better.

Can I switch to Cleric later in AION 2?

No — class is chosen at character creation, and gear investment makes starting a new character costly. This is why each class page lists difficulty and beginner-friendliness: the class you keep for a hundred hours is better than a stronger one you abandon in a week.

What data on this Cleric page is verified?

The class name, role label, archetype and weapon type come from NCSOFT global-launch announcements (L1). Tier ratings, difficulty, damage/defense/mobility and beginner-friendliness are community consensus, cross-checked for agreement across AION 2 community sources (L3). The Stigma setups are cross-checked against the AION 2 wiki at patch 1.0.21.0 (L2).
