What is not yet confirmed
Official global-launch documentation on character transfer between servers has not been published in a form we can cite. We are not going to describe a transfer flow we cannot verify exists.
Why it matters for new players
If transfer is restricted or costly, your first server choice is effectively permanent in practice. Pick the server your group is on rather than the one that looks emptiest at launch.

What we can and cannot confirm
This guide is marked pending because the underlying data conflicts between sources or has not been announced at all. In both cases the useful thing to publish is what is known, what is not, and what would change the answer — not a confident guess that happens to be wrong.

Server Transfer questions
Can I transfer characters between AION 2 servers?
Official global-launch rules on server transfer are not confirmed yet, and we will not guess at them. Character transfer rules are usually region-locked for MMOs of this type, but "usually" is not a rule. Until NCSoft publishes something specific, treat server transfer as unavailable.
Will server transfer be available at launch?
Unconfirmed. The absence of an announcement usually means it is not part of the launch feature set, but that is an inference from silence rather than a statement. If a transfer feature does exist, it will be announced on the official channels.
Do I need to worry about picking a region?
Reasonably, yes — because if transfer never becomes available, your region choice is permanent. Pick the region closest to your actual latency, not the one with the largest player base. A slightly larger population does not help if every fight happens at 200ms.
What about faction choice — can I switch Elyos and Asmodian?
Also unconfirmed at global launch. Faction choice happens at character creation, and unlike class, it determines which systems and areas your character can access. Treat it as permanent until an official source says otherwise.
